About social innovation and SIE Fund
Social innovation can be exemplified by advances in knowledge, products and services, including applications of existing business models, processes and method to meet social need.
The HK$ 500 million Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund (SIE Fund) was set up under the Commission on Poverty by the HKSAR Government in 2013. Facilitating cross-sector collaboration, the Fund aims to promote social innovation and nurture social entrepreneurs with the goal of alleviating and preventing poverty and social exclusion.
